House Pulled by the Roots in Germany

In case you’ve seen our post on an art installation getting a parking ticket in Germany, then you already know that interesting things can happen on the main square of Karlsruhe. This time it is a house Pulled by the Roots, which is really a large-scale artistic installation hung from a construction crane by Argentinian artist Leandro Erlich (organized by the Center for Art and Media in Karlsruhe). Inspired by one of architect Friedrich Weinbrenner’s historical structures, the building, together with its massive root system, quite literally appears to be ripped out of a row of neighboring houses.
